Healthcare sharing is not insurance. It's better.
Real numbers. No surprises.
What is a PRA?
The Primary Responsibility Amount (PRA) is similar to a deductible. It is what your household pays toward eligible medical bills each year before the community begins sharing. The higher your PRA, the lower your monthly share. Choose from four tiers:
Good to know before you sign up
Pre-existing conditions have a 36-month waiting period before they are eligible for sharing.
After your annual PRA is met, the community shares 90% of eligible bills. You cover the remaining 10%, up to a max of $5,000 per household per year.
Dental and vision are discount savings programs, not shared expenses.
Tobacco or vaping users pay an additional $50 per month.
Impact Health Sharing is not insurance and does not guarantee payment of medical bills. Not available in RI or WA.

Yes. Impact is a registered nonprofit organization that has been operating since 2020, has over 24,000 members, and has shared over $275 million in medical expenses. It is not insurance, but it is a legitimate and regulated health sharing ministry. Yes. Impact has no network restrictions. You can see any licensed doctor, specialist, or hospital in the US. You simply have your provider send the bill to Impact and they handle the rest after your PRA is met. PRA stands for Primary Responsibility Amount, think of it like an annual deductible. It is the amount your household pays toward eligible medical bills each year before the community begins covering costs. You choose your PRA tier ($2,500, $5,000, $7,500, or $10,000). The higher the PRA, the lower your monthly share amount. Pre-existing conditions are not eligible for sharing during the first 36 months of membership. Dental and vision are discount programs only and are not shared expenses. Acupuncture, cosmetic procedures, and certain elective treatments are also not eligible. Review the full member guidelines for a complete list. |
Impact is not insurance and does not guarantee payment of medical bills. Instead of paying premiums to a for-profit company, you contribute a monthly share to a community pool that covers other members' eligible medical expenses, and they cover yours. There are no networks, no denied claims for covered services, and no universal rate increases in over five years of operation. Most members save up to 50% compared to traditional insurance premiums. Plans start at $73 per month for individuals and $378 per month for families. The exact amount depends on your age, household size, and the PRA tier you choose. No. While Impact is rooted in Christian values, they welcome everyone who believes in community and helping others, regardless of religion or background. A note from Lan
Healthcare costs shouldn't be the reason you skip the doctor. I found a better way.
I know how overwhelming healthcare costs can be, especially for small business owners, freelancers, and people who are self-employed. Traditional insurance wasn't built for us. The premiums, the network restrictions, the denied claims. It adds up fast, and it adds up unfairly. — Lan
